Congratulations to Troop 344’s newest Eagle Scout, James Karslake! Having served our troop well with his emphasis on science and conservation, James passed his board of review on 2/25 with flying colors. For his Eagle project, James helped to improve soil and water conservation at Deer Creek. He led others in this effort, where 65 trees and 75 willow tree stakes were planted, 120 pounds of trash were removed, and an educational sign was posted. This is also his third Hornaday project– the two Hornaday badges James has earned are the only two currently being worn by any scout in the Greater St. Louis Area Council, and it has been more than twelve years since another scout has earned multiple badges.
