This March, our troop camped at Beaumont Scout Reservation in the Laemmli Area. The campout was full of activities, but the main attraction was horseback riding at the Nagel Explorer base, which was done in two sessions after we split into groups. Last time our troop embarked on this overnight, we were only able to ride in the ring at Nagel, but because of our lesser numbers, we were able to ride the trails through the woods down to Wohl campsite and back, making the journey far more interesting. This was a great experience for the group of 12 scouts that went on the trip, and quite engaging.
