Recently, from June 18-24, Troop 344 went to summer camp at sunny Camp Gamble. Scouts did merit badges and other activities such as the troops canoe night and the camp wide aquathon, which held many water related contests such as sandcastle building, a relay race in the water, and best of all, the scoutmaster bellyflop. We cooked our food everyday over hot fires, and favorites included pork chops and hamburgers. Thursday held the OA ceremony, and Friday served as a more relaxed make-up day for merit badges as well as a dinner cooked by the adults and senior patrol. Saturday morning we took down camp and headed out after a great week.
