The troop camped at Montauk State Park in May 2024. Fishing was the main activity. The park releases trout from a hatchery near where Montauk Spring and Pigeon Creek combine to form the Current River. Our 16 scouts caught and cleaned a lot of trout, and we fried them in bacon grease. The park was more crowded than last year because there was a State Parks youth fishing day that same weekend.
