On September 21, 2024, we went to Meramec Caverns to go on a float trip. The route was 6 miles long. Some of us took kayaks while others took two-person canoes. Around noon we stopped to eat lunch. It was Cooper’s birthday that weekend, so we sang happy birthday and we each got ding dongs. Then, we got back on the river. Many people brought fishing rods and bait to catch some fish along the way, while others just boated. After a couple of hours we got to our campsite. There, we built a volleyball net and played some volleyball and some card games. Later that evening, the adults cooked some food for us for dinner. After eating the meal we continued to play some volleyball. At night we built a small campfire using some small sticks. Then we went to bed when it was really hot. In the morning, we ate breakfast and shared our roses, buds and thorns before heading back home. All in all, it was a great trip that I would gladly go to next time.
