(Story by Stephen)
On the weekend of December 7th, Troop 344 went on a camp out to St. Francois State Park. Most of the troop arrived on Friday night including Carson, Niko, Darren, Ethan, Arin, and Lucas. While Stephen and Patrick S. arrived Saturday morning. On Saturday after breakfast the troop went to Bonne Terre mine where we got to see amazing sights. While in the Bonne Terre mine we got to go on a boat tour of the world largest underground lake. After touring the mine, we went back to the campsite and had lunch. Following lunch, we went on a 3-mile hike of Mooner’s Hollow Trail. When we got back to camp, we collected firewood and had a competition for who could light a fire with the least amount matches. After the competition, we cooked cheeseburgers for dinner and enjoyed the fire for the rest of the night. In the morning, we packed our stuff, cleaned up the campsite and headed home.
