(Story by Cooper) On the weekend from October 18th to 20th, the troop traveled to Beaumont for the most recent Camporee. This was a Mario-themed Camporee, and we wanted to do well. Friday night, we set up camp and prepared for the next day. Saturday, we competed on various Mario-themed activities, a game of ultimate frisbee, a skit costume, and a costume contest. We won the skit, the game, and the costume contest. Our costumes consisted of princess peach, Mario, Luigi, and the green pipe. We still only were third overall on points because we weren’t very good at the trivia. Sunday we packed up and went home. Overall it was a very fun Camporee, like all Camporees. Everyone should try to go to these fun campouts.
