(Story by Ben) On Friday evening the Troop put everything in the trailer and left for the campgrounds at S-F Ranch. Later that night the Troop arrived at the treehouses where they unloaded the trailer and carried the supplies to the camp. Everyone carried their bags to their bunk. There everyone settled down and went to bed.
In the morning we were woken up by Carson playing the trumpet. We made our first attempt to make breakfast, and packed our bags with our water bottle, lunch and rain gear. Then we got in the cars and drove to the trail. Then we hiked a mile to the rappelling cliffs and climbing site. The older scouts went climbing while the younger scouts built a shelter and crossed the river. We started to eat, but we ran out of time because we had to go to the rappelling cliffs. At the cliffs we finished our lunch. We had the chance to go angel rappelling. Then it started to rain harder. The older scouts took shelter under a tree close to the cliff while the younger scouts took shelter underneath a tree farther from the cliff side. The scary part of rappelling is going off the edge. After rappelling the Troop hiked back to the trailhead and walked out to Castle Rock. Afterwards the Troop drove back to the campsite. A few scouts played fake Hunger Games. The older boys had tacos for dinner and the younger boys had some soup. That night we had a campfire before bed. After lights out at 9:45 Carson claimed to see a mouse in the treehouse.
Next morning we packed our gear before having breakfast, mainly donuts. Then we carried our gear to the trailer and did Roses, Thorns, and Buds. We got in the car and went home.
