On Friday, January 30, Troop 344 left Ladue Middle School and traveled to S Bar F Scout Ranch to stay in cabins for the weekend and shoot rifles and shotguns. There were 10 Scouts and 5 adults along with the range safety officer and instructor. The cabins had bunk beds, wood stoves, and small kitchens. On Saturday morning, the group shot 22 caliber rifles, ate lunch at the cabin, and then shot shotguns in groups of 3 or 4. Some Scouts worked on rank advancement when they were not shooting or during downtime in the cabin. The troop returned to LMS on Sunday from a fun, successful outing.
